About Discovery Town
Owners of Discovery Town, Amie & Karl have created an immersive play centre for children to explore, learn and roleplay.
Discovery Town is host to several play areas including a mini town area, a sensory corner, digital interactive games hub and a dressing-up area. We change the rooms periodically keeping it fresh, new and exciting for the children. Children are invited to explore these and other areas however they wish, using their creativity and imagination. The possibilities are limitless.
As a family run business and with young children of their own, owners Karl & Amie understand what parents need and will go the extra mile to ensure your expectations are surpassed, adding flexibility and personal touches to the experience which make sessions comfortable, exciting and memorable.
Police Station
Inside our Police Station children will find a selection of items to discover. Whether they throw on the high vis uniform and hat and patrol the streets of Discovery Town or whether they or you sit down at the desk ready for a hard days work, you’ll find plenty of items to play with.
Beauty Salon
Our beauty salon is full of all the things you need to pamper someone and help them relax. Whether its a hairdryer for a blow-dry or maybe a file for a manicure, our salon has the equipment to make sure customers leave feeling spectacular!
Doctor’s Surgery/ Vets
Whether this area is a doctor’s surgery or a vets, it is fully equipt with all the things children will need to treat their poorly patients. Children will find nursing gowns, stethoscopes, eye charts and plenty more to ensure a full recovery.
Supermarket
Our supermarket is stocked full of great products and tinned goods. Inside you’ll find some great offers. Fill your trolley full of delicious food and when you’re ready, take it to the cashier’s till.
The Home Corner
Sit down to a nice home cooked meal or maybe do some of the ironing? There are plenty of tasks to do in this home. Complete with its own kitchen, dining area and lounge. What’s that on the table? Cupcakes? Don’t mind if we do!
Interactive Hub
Loaded with fun and educational games, our interactive touchscreen hub is great for children who love to use computers. Spell, draw and learn individually or in a team whilst sitting down on one of the three comfortable bean bags. Our favourite is dot to dot!
Dressing Up
This area is full to the brim with all kinds of costumes that can be mixed and matched. Maybe you feel like being a princess for a day, or maybe a bricklayer or maybe a bricklaying princess!? The possibilities are endless!
Sensory Corner
Some children like to take a more relaxed approach to exploring. This corner is perfect for that. Kitted out with soft cushions, bright fabrics, pretty lights and cuddly toys – children can look, hear and touch everything this corner has to offer.
Soft Floor Area
A great area for children who aren’t able to roleplay. This super soft mat area contains many suitable toys, bright colours, cuddly fabrics and items to stimulate the senses.
